Through our Regenerative Finance Program, we are building a bioregional financial system for the Mediterranean that channels philanthropic, repair, and institutional capital into regeneration, with the long-term goal of establishing a bioregional investment vehicle. Our activities include:
- Laying the Groundwork for a Bioregional Investment Vehicle by assessing feasibility, building a coalition of partners, designing financial structures, and building political support, starting with a EUR 60M public-privately funded pilot in the Muga Valley to regenerate 9600 ha of forest, incl. building a regen forestry and nature tourism value chain and affordable rural housing fund..
- Prototyping Alternative Financial Instruments by piloting climate credits, water funds, resilience bonds, and surplus-sharing mechanisms to test revenue flows for regeneration.
