The Muga Hangout 2025, a winter escape in the Valley

Picture this: a quiet valley blanketed in winter’s hush, the soft glow of candles flickering on wooden tables, the gentle crackle of a fire, and the scent of pine and fresh earth in the air. From 27th to 30th November, step into The Home for The Muga Hangout, a weekend designed to slow down, recharge, and reconnect—with nature, with others, and with yourself.
During the day, wander through frost-kissed forest trails, follow the river’s curve, or climb the mountains surrounding the valley. Pause in a hammock, wrapped in a warm blanket, and let the stillness of the season wash over you. Take time for yourself with a massage, or a visit to the sauna overlooking the serene landscape.
Evenings invite you to gather around the fire, share stories, laughter, and locally sourced, nourishing meals with fellow changemakers. Sit at the table, savor each bite, and feel the joy of connection as conversations unfold and ideas spark. There’s space to create, to reflect, and to share your passions – co-create a session, offer a story, or simply listen and be inspired.
This weekend is more than a retreat – it’s a chance to slow down, dive inward, and emerge refreshed and purposeful. Whether it’s journaling by the fire, wandering the winter trails, or sharing a laugh with new friends, The Muga Hangout offers a cozy, mindful winter escape that nurtures body, mind, and heart.
Transport
We advise our guests to use the (high speed) train as much as possible. The nearby Fiqueres-Vilafant train station welcomes high-speed trains directly from Paris (with an easy transfer also from Amsterdam, Rotterdam, London, Geneva, Zurich, Cologne, Frankfurt etc.) and from all over Spain.
Those flying to Spain can choose from the airports of Girona or Barcelona, from where they can then opt for a high-speed train (AVE) to Figueres-Vilafant. From the stations Girona Central or Barcelona Sants, you can reach Figueres-Vilafant by train in just 25 or 50 minutes. On the day of arrival, we provide a shuttle service from the train station to The Home. Please note: train tickets must be booked in advance through the website: renfe.es
