Resilient landscapes program

Transition shaped by local stakeholders

Through our Resilient Landscapes Program, we ensure that the transition is shaped and led by local stakeholders. Our activities include:

  • Restoring healthy forests, rivers and soils by bringing back diverse mosaic forests, regenerating soils, revitalizing rivers, creating wildlife corridors and reintroducing/habitat creation for native species like the vultures, otters, beavers, wolves, wild cats, etc..

  • Developing Participatory Landscape Plans for the different valleys of the Muga watershed that bring together municipalities, science, landowners and the private sector to co-create a shared long-term vision. Each valley in the watershed develops its own action plan, featuring visible, participatory projects and a public dashboard that tracks water security, fire safety, and ecosystem resilience, ensuring collective ownership.
