Bioregional Finance Institutional Working Session
7 – 8 May 2026
Join us for an Institutional Working Session with representatives of the EIB, EIF and Catalan Government.
We are pleased to invite you to a closed, informal working session in the Muga Valley on 7–8 May 2026, bringing together representatives from the European Investment Bank, the European Investment Fund, re-insurance companies and the Generalitat de Catalunya, alongside a small group of experienced project developers and partners.
The session is designed as a diagnostic and solution-oriented deep dive into one of the most persistent challenges in climate finance: Why bioregional and landscape-scale projects struggle to move from policy ambition to bankable reality, despite clear public interest and escalating risk?
Mediterranean territories are facing compounding pressures: sixth-generation wildfires, water scarcity, soil degradation, and rural depopulation. These risks increasingly translate into public-finance exposure, asset risk, and long-term fiscal instability. The Muga Valley Initiative offers a concrete, advanced pilot to examine these challenges in practice.
By invitation only (mail your request, click here).
